Makes sense to me that the 9/11 question is kept open to spare the feelings of the vets. If they need to be in denial for emotional reasons there is the availability of that - since there is no unambiguous official word.

Some vets told me that if they found out [that it was certain about 9/11] they could not be held back from going to the houses of, and killing some ex-politicians in TX.

So in order for the military tribunals to do their job per law rather than emotional taking law in one's own hands, the truth about it may have to be obscured until after the perps are definitively brought to justice.
