Fellow Anons,

This will be TLTR for some of you but I just sent this to my senator, Senator Cruz regarding Mrs. Ford.

Should you take the time to read it, thank you, if not, that's okay.

I implore assault survivors to write their senators and push for Mrs. Ford to testify under oath as each of us had to do to seek justice.

Our processes are in place to help the helpless and the victims and not is not the time to rewrite based on agenda's.

It is Independence Day, by Martina McBride:

Let freedom ring, let the white dove sing

Let the whole world know that today, is a day of reckoning

Let the weak be strong, let the right be wrong

Roll the stone away, let the guilty pay, it's Independence Day

Letter to Senator Cruz

Good evening Sir,

As a woman, mother and wife, not to mention a former assault victim, it is with the greatest passion that I believe Mrs. Ford should be heard. I also believe with the greatest passion that Mr. Kavanaugh should be able to face his accuser and be heard.

I am strongly against any changes or accommodations to be extended to Mrs. Ford. Mrs. Ford brought this issue to the public forum and therefore, equal treatment should be meted out, regardless of political affiliation. Fair treatment was not given to previous victims regarding their alleged perpetrators based on their political affiliation and thus no special treatment should be given to Mrs. Ford. Previous victims had their lives turned upside down, inside out and vilified. This is not about Rep v Dem’s, this is about doing what is right and ending the 11th hour grandstanding. If Mrs. Ford was assaulted, the burden of proof falls on her, not Mr. Kavanaugh as she told no one 36 years ago and all evidence is gone.

If Mrs. Ford does not testify on Monday, the vote should be held immediately, no more delays.

Mrs. Ford has had many months to prepare for this moment, any assault victim knows that once they bring to light their assault they must be prepared to go the gauntlet regardless of the discomfort if they want justice, Mrs. Ford has had over 36 years. Put up or shut up.

I say this as victim of childhood sexual abuse, abuse that many in my school were aware of and due to the times was not spoken about. I did not seek treatment until I was 28 and went on to lead a healthy, normal and successful life, even though the abuse lasted over 10 years and ended when I was 12. My opinions are based in not only fact but experience. A survivor does not forget the details, NEVER. Thirty-eight years later, I stand by the 12 year girl who stood against her family to tell the truth and I took an oath, I understood what taking an oath meant: I swear to tell the truth, Mrs. Ford can do the same, at 52+ years old. My case is of public record though my name is shield as I was a minor and the victim. I was 12 and had to have a women’s exam, pretty terrifying versus a 15/16 year being groped not raped but groped. Follow that up to attending a 20 year high school reunion and finding out many of my classmates knew of my living environment unbeknownst to me but I survived with my faith in God and wonderful people. I believe Mrs. Ford may have had some assault in her life as most woman do but not to remember just does not seem truthful.

As my senator, I hold you personally accountable for speaking for me and following the procedures set forth in the US Senate. No special treatment, a victim must face their abuser, the accused has the right to face their accuser, these are our fundamental and constitutional rights and the very fabric of our judicial system.

Senator Cruz, as a woman, a registered voter, I speak to you not from emotion but rational and logical thinking, Mrs. Ford must be under oath or this issue will set assault victims back 40 years and they will not come forward to have justice. It is imperative that Mrs. Ford is questioned under oath as taking an oath to tell the truth is a fundamental procedure of our justice system so we may maintain order and hold citizens accountable for their words and actions.

I am not saying I believe one party over the other but let rules of the senate be followed and let the chips fall where they may and let the the truth be heard in a legal and orderly fashion.

Our process must be preserved for future generations or we shall sink into chaos and justice can not prevail and victims will never overcome their tragedies.

Thank you for your time and consideration in this matter.

Best regards,
