They literally made dark energy/matter up!!!! The observations they made of the universe didn't match at all what their calculations predicted so instead of starting over they literally invented the stuff so now the calculations work. It is quite insane when u go down that rabbit hole.
That's a tough one. Thats a conclusion i've come to from almost 2 decades of researching & keeping an eye on it. So unfortunately I don't have any specific things to direct u to. Kinda need to read between the lines.
U can start with just researching who 'discovered' dark matter & how they did it. U find out quickly that nobody still doesn't know what dark matter is. it's just theorized matter to explain observations made.
As for dark energy, iirc comes from observing the amount of light in the universe thereby giving an indication of how much matter is out there vs what the calculations state should exist. Once again they just made something up that nobody can actually explain to fill in the gaps of their calculations instead of starting over & fundamentally reworking the calculations.
