Free energy suppression isn't about money, it is about power. (Pun fully intended.)
Take a little time, and think what you could do with it, beyond just the obvious. Here's one. Floating (flying) cities where you could let in and keep out whomever you wanted. Out over the Pacific or Atlantic. People in power would rage, because they would then have no control over you.
The people at the top crave power, NOT money.
