The George P. info drops, including names and countries-of-origin of the spies involved, really does complicate the landscape here. Any reasonable dig on those persons that returned a credible response would put the UK, Australia and Turkey on shaky ground, diplomatically.

I can only imagine the pressure being exerted here: Theresa May, whose government has a sucking chest wound already, surely doesn't want yet another reason to be replaced. The Aussies sure don't want their name dragged through the mud at the moment. And Turkey? It probably won't result in any serious issues with our already strained relationship, but if it leads to sanctions it could make the situation worse.

I'm guessing POTUS is using the prospect of exposing the spies through FISA redaction (these are the "sources and methods" the Dems are freaking out about) as leverage in each case. They don't like POTUS, but they have to deal with him or face issues ranging from discomfort to potential civil war.

And no one really wants to break up the Anglosphere alliance.

Thoughts?

Don't fire Rosenstien for this. Wait for the FISA declassifications. Fire his ass for that. He's either corrupt or incompetent. Either one will do.

You are taking a very unsophisticated approach to this. This is a BIG DEAL for both countries.

If they did it to us, their people are realizing that we do it to them.
