Yay! ok!

I am not entirely sure what to make of Jesus. I was raised in the Church and went to Catholic schools, etc. I've always been like "Isn't the crucifixion basically human sacrifice to this compassionate God and how are we totally okay with that?"

Also, if we are made in the image of God and are for all intents and purposes "brothers and sisters" by virtue of being God's children (not in that creepy cult way, btw), how can we look at each other WITHOUT compassion?
