Related to the storm?

Telltale basically laid off all of their employees today except for a skeleton crew. I found it odd since it seemed like the studio was doing well and had recently released another Walking Dead game. This Twitter thread claims that "investor money dried up." Reading between the lines, I wonder if "investor money dried up" means "cabal money was cut off."
