NEW STRATEGIES: SLICE AND TOAST

Collecting

Evidence

Please note the advantage that stackoverflow has over forum-based sites for providing answers to questions.

It's the Ability to keep the quality comments at the top of the discussions.

Well, VOAT in all of its glorious wisdom, HAS this superpower.

To that end, when a bread is baked, the notables often provide for us new unanswered questions that need to be asked.

Let's reserve a special style of thread for each of these questions.

Thet can be prefixed with [SLICE] to be easily identified. E.g. re: "[SLICE] What is this logo doing here?"

To keep them readable and useful, the (obviously) unenforcable rules should be:

1.) All posts should try to stay on topic.

2.) No "rah rah" comments as these threads may become huge.

3.) No "me too" comments for the same reason.

4.) If five seconds of googling reveals the answer, it is not an "unanswered question". (You're saying DIG here, not observe this, we have every other post for that.)

5.) Vote on comments based on their notability.

Once we have slices, they can be TOASTed:

Totality

Strategic

Threads

A toast is a meta thread for a particular topic.

Examples "[TOAST] The Las Vegas Shooting Incident", or "[TOAST] Huma Abedin"

The toaster should not organize the links, but let them exist as individual comments.

1.) Minimal content in the TOAST post itself.

2.) Only one SLICE per link.

3.) Voat on the slices based on their notability.

4.) SLICEs can be added to multiple TOASTs.

Then we can BUTTER AND JAM!
