For disliking each other, they do seem to conspire a lot. So that gives an impression of teamwork against us. But yeah there's always a paper trail, because it's not friendship among them, not even meeting of the minds, but command and control.

Come to think of it, a good insight is how likeable we are. Well not to the far-left, but they're not really that many people if the spell of control is gone. We have a likeability, a natural magnetism without effort that the nasties can never have.
