I think people need to consider closing their twitter and facebook accounts.
For some they may be essential, but for many of us they are not.
If conservative or honest views are not welcome on those platforms,
then why are we letting them count us as "customers".
If we need accounts to spread hashtags, I'm sure we can figure out how to do that without everyone having accounts.
Another path:
Read the opening post and every link in it. Read the spreadsheet and accumulated solutions for Q posts included in OP.
That will bring you up to speed on current topics and activities of the board.
Then start reading the breads.
Before asking questions about keywords and abbreviations do a search of the spreadsheet to see if the answers are there.
Set aside a block of time every day or so to go through older sections of the spreadsheet.
As another anon said questions and posts about digging are welcome.
Do not hold back on digging because of potential criticism.
Most of us make mistakes, most of us get periodic barbs.
If pointed criticism will be hurtful to you, go to reddit.
I think "illegal foreigners" is a great word choice.
Even as a native born, I get bad vibes about "illegal alien" because alien brings up images of space monsters not humans.
And "illegal immigrant" is an oxymoron because immigrants come to the country legally.
Not every POTUS idea is a good one. A new grand parade will just cause lot of friction with little benefit.
There are Memorial Day parades, 4th of July parades, and Veterans Day activities. Those can be augmented with additional military units, without having a national debate.
