The Jews when they were sent to Babylon for the 70 year captivity, didn't have a copy of the Torah. They created the hallakah(sp?), the verbal torah, the synagogue system (evil) and the Rabbi. They took over the Tempe upon return. they have nothing to do with the Priests from the lineage of Levi. an oral Torah, written by men who were NOT priests. Hence later when Jesus confronted the Pharisees, he would say, "you have heard it was said…" Jesus said, I was on Mt. Sinai and spoke to Moses and I DID NOT say that.."
The literal jews have NO knowledge of GOD or Christ. Just as GOD had mentioned for Israel going after the pagan gods.
