Doesn't take much thought and if you're rh-, you've had the thoughts. Rh- lacks the antigen that MOST (85=%) of the population has. Why? They call RH+ rhesus factor- ie; the theory of evolution and the carrying of the rhesus geno-type/bloodtype… kinda. So if one lacks the rhesus factor, they lack the stereotypical evolution make-up. Both my parents were rh+ but I didn't get that from them- from ancestry. Two positives aren't supposed to make a negative so…

Anon- you should know your blood-type. If you are Rh- du-, you need to have a stock-pile of your blood cuz it's not readily available. If you ever needed a transfusion, ya might not be able to get it. The more you know- and you should know, especially if you're Rh-.

Good doctor is an oxy-moron if ya ask me, but ya should know- especially if you're Rh-. There's actually 2 types; one is Rh- with positive antigens (I think I have that right) and Rh- (du-) that shows no positive cross. The latter definitely is more rare and your blood is hard to come by. If that's what you are, it will be suggested you stock-pile or donate so that when /if you need it, it's shown that you gave so you can withdraw.
If you are Rh-, be careful with the medical community, They don't treat us right.
