May need anyone who is a servicemember and/or who holds a CCL to be deputized. Not enough servicemembers deal with this insanity. Background for a CCL/CHL/CHP/CCW/whatever should be sufficient to determine a person's fitness for emergency law enforcement duties.

Or martial law with an open carry stipulation for all CCL holders. As much as I hate the idea of requiring a background (and fee) to exercise a right, can't allow unregulated open carry (or concealed) in this type of situation. Need the vetting. Open carry tends to terrify leftists even more than concealed. The visibility of the firearm is an effective deterrent.

I'll take a few days off, come back here and holy shit there's always a lot of catching up to do. This is dynamic as hell, timelines changing, etc. Easy to get behind, confused. Focus on your bar exam studies (assume that's what you're up to) or your law school studies. We need GOOD lawfags, ones with souls. That's why I quit practicing and allowed my license to lapse. Fucking SICK of the corruption and fuckery. 3/4 of the licensed attorneys I've dealt with should be disbarred.

Huh? No one uses the gas chamber anymore. Lethal injection is the protocol for military executions. Believe it's meted out at Leavenworth, but never seen a pic of the "gurney" there. Maybe move them to Terre Haute for execution.

This technically isn't a criminal proceeding so no invocation of Confrontation Clause. No constitutional issues here (torts and criminal law are a different story). It's the flagrant violations of the Code of Professional Conduct that get me enraged. These motherfuckers ought to be disbarred. Not suspended. I'm an accountantfag now and if I pull this horse shit, not only will I lose my license, I'll go to prison. Sick and fucking tired of it.

The WORST lawyers are family law attorneys. They're also the least competent of all specializations. They have ZERO scruples and have no problem ruining someone's life since their compensation is based on how much they ruin someone. Katz is clearly a shitty lawyer. Transparent as hell.

I used to be "of counsel" for a large non-profit. Litigated many cases under 42 USC 1983, deprivation of civil liberties under the color of law. Con law was my bread and butter. 2A and 4A. I'd love to get back into it but I make a good living doing what I'm doing and it isn't nearly as chaotic. Plus I have a family now, so the stability of my career is also a plus. If law is your passion, go with it. Just know that the job market for attorneys is fuckin obscene. Too many lawyers, not enough jobs.

Agreed. I'll take an accurate pistol (like one of my P229s) at short range over an AR any day of the week. Maneuvering a 16"+ barrel rifle in CQB is not easy. Now, if it's an SBR, that's a different story but would be under NFA Title II. Not M4 14.5" barrel but like a Mk18 with 10.3" barrel or something around that length.

Haven't been following NICS trends. Check the FBI NICS data. That'll show you what the market thinks about what's coming. Based on prices, I don't see any panic. If I didn't already have them, I'd buy a shit ton of stripped lowers and LPKs. Or buy some 80% lowers and the jig for the pin holes. Unserialized lowers. Pistols are protected under Heller. Those are the last thing they will go after because strict scrutiny would apply to a pistol ban (judicial scrutiny, if the governments regulation at all fucks with exercising a right, it's unconstitutionalโ€ฆto put it simply).

I really want a Ruger Super Redhawk Alaskan with 2.5" barrel. 454 Casull and 45 LC. Will drop a fucking bear. My Sig P320 sub is great at short range but my XDm 3.8" is a fucking laser at short, mid, and long range. Need to replace sights. Gunsmith busted the front globe on it.

Kek I don't go bear hunting. Although I would if given the chance. Cousins husband owns one, dropped a bull moose with a well-placed shot. It's what hunters in bear country carry for sidearms. Psycho bear hunters use Barrett M82A1s and take pot shots from a half mile away.
