• plot is gov been hiding info of asteroid heading towards earth causing ele.

• a group called Q17 was labeled as a cabal like group which destroyed the attempts of gov to destroy said asteroid and steal the only escape vessel for themselves

• the end: spoiler alert—- right before impact the scientists retrieve data from Antarctica observatory that shows the asteroid is not intact an asteroid at all. The season ends with the asteroid entering our atmosphere and then stopping mid air, with the thought that this was an alien spacecraft.

Towards the end the scientist character tanz is attacked by a sonic weapon and goes crazy. He very much resembles Elon musk
