A total of 4.6 million shares of common stock were sold at a price $13 per share. Of that amount, 3.0 million shares were sold by the company and 1.6 million shares were sold by unidentified stockholders. The company is listed on the Nasdaq under the ticker symbol GTEC.

The company said the name Sotera is derived from Greek mythology and represents the spirit of safety, preservation and deliverance from harm. Officials said the new name reflects the company's focus on meeting national security needs.

In 2012, TAC was dissolved & assimilated Sotera Defense Solutions, formerly SFA, Global Strategies Group (North America) & GTEC.
