Lawsuits are for later. There will be time. For now he just has to defend, which will be pretty easy because he's obviously innocent and 75% of Americans (77% of the women) can see it.

 

If this doesn't go because of Dem games, then like Bork he returns to his honorable career as a circult judge. But I think he'll be on SCOTUS, and Joan Larson will maybe be RBG's replacement.

Yes 51 votes is enough. 50 votes is enough. But can they get that without a favorable report from the Judiciary committee?

And can they get a favorable report (i.e will Jeff Flake vote yes) without dealing with each and every one of these stupid allegations?

The other perspective is that the Dems would not be acting so crazy if Kavanaugh were a neocon they didn't have to worry about. They're acting scared to death of Kavanaugh, even doing obvious damage to their midterm prospects (women are getting disgusted with them) to stop Kavanaugh. And there were earlier dirty tricks too, that were smoothly navigated by Grassley and Kavanaugh.
