McConnell and Reps on Judiciary need to reinforce the standard process for advise/consent/confirmation of nominees. Background checks, investigation, testimony, vote. Any dredged up accusations should only be considered if they allege actions occurring after hearings and before vote. Accusations of criminal behavior prior to hearings should be considered only if there is a court record and prior adjudication of them. Separation of Powers.

Reps need to spend less time on their knees in church praying for more patience and more time in battle school improving their fighting skills. It is hard to maintain the morale of an army when the weakness of its lieutenants is on public display everyday. Making the best of bad situations is not a substitute for leadership.
