You can't locate anything without the encryption key.
Meaning you can't search for a filename on Mega.nz.
The only way you can get the encryption key is if the file owner gives it to you.
They give it to you in the form of a special URL provided by Mega to the owner of a Mega account where content is stored.
This special URL works for me and everybody else.

My suggestion: Install the MegaUpload tool. Click Preferences. Select bandwidth management tab and set bandwidth limit to whatever you want. It uploads/downloads in the background and resumes where it left off if you disconnect. It reports status. You can designate specific folders/directories for automatic upload.
You can establish a free Mega account using a burner email address. I did.
