Checked. You are correct about the parasite. It can take control very subtly by altering your percepting and inhibitions until you'll do things you hate doing and would normally never do. It has to push you into these things because it needs low-frequency vibrations that you produce when you are unhappy, angry, ashamed, or experiencing other negative emotions.
I don't know if it's a demon, a thought-form, or something else less sentient, but it's real, and almost everyone is susceptible to it. Christ can help you overcome its influence, but only if you remember and seek his help or invoke his name. It can be very difficult when the red haze is upon you. If you ever find yourself doing things you hate and yet feel a compulsion to do them or simply have no willpower to avoid doing them at times, this may be what you're facing.
