Answer, nothing. Even if he misses a week or two it doesn't hurt. I want the vote as well and it looks like it's scheduled for Friday.
I'm still betting Ford will not show up on Thursday. She can't be sued or prosecuted for her unsigned letters but she could be prosecuted (not sued) for lying to congress.
There are no arguments scheduled so anything else he can catch up on.
I'm betting the reason he scheduled the vote is because Ford's attorneys didn't submit the evidence requested by Grassley.
"Please provide these materials to the Committee no later than Tuesday, September 25. Committee rules also require that Dr. Ford submit her biography and written testimony by 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, September 26. I thank you for your assistance in this matter."
