Ford was never going to testify anyway. Dems gave that away this weekend when they talked about impeachment. Why talk about impeachment if Ford is going to talk? So they were virtually conceding the fact of Kavanaugh's confirmation.

Ford was a stop-gap to dig up more dirt. But never to actually testify.
