If the gov created an US citizen fund, and when a baby is born, invest 2000 in that child's name. Access would be no sooner than 18 years, and have some restrictions.

If they are going to print money why not give everyone some financial options?

Kids born in 1974 would have 100,000 today:

What Would $1,000 Invested in 1974 be Worth in 1999?

Invest that $1,000 for the 25 years beginning year-end 1974, and you would have participated in a 25-year bull market. As a result, instead of ending with "only" $14,000, you would have ended with $47,757.
