Ridiculous beyond belief. The confirmation of SC picks has become a complete Circus. Definitely needs to NEW RULES for the procedure to restore any credibility in the public's eyes.

NEW RULES urgently needed for confirmation procedure of ANY Judges, particularly SC..
The most obvious new rule would be to state that all evidence or accusations of past wrongdoing by the nominee MUST BE filed
in full by the START of the confirmation hearing. No new accusations of wrongdoing can be raised after the hearing has started. Also any accusations that are subsequently found to have insufficient evidence under normal legal rules for evidence should automatically be referred to a prosecutor for indictment on a charge of deliberate slander / libel.
