Until we recognize competition between ideas and not people or political parties the adversarial process will continue to create winners and losers and the winners will be no more right and just than a victorious football team is. The rivalry between the Blues and the Greens brought down Byzantium and it will bring down any community that employs such a process. It is the nature of adversarial thought.
If we can't understand how this is , the changes we make will be the initiation of another swing of the pendulum and a cycle of escalating acts of revenge and retribution.
We have a chance to get off the pendulum and that's what we should do. POTUS bought a spot on the ticket because swamp republicans knew she was going to win.
