Things that make you go hmmmmm….
Ford said she that when she heard that Cavanaugh was on the short list she made two call on July 6:
a) she called her congressional rep and let rep's receptionist know that SOMEONE on Trump's short list had attacked her (she did not specify who in public record)
b) that she sent a message to Washington Post's encrypted confidential tipline and without stating her name provided names of Cavanaugh and Judge and stated Cavanaugh had assaulted her in the 1980's in Maryland
this approach make it possible for Opposition to setup anyone the short list - one anonymous tip/story submitted for each on short list once nominee Oppositions send the follow-up letter to Feinstein signaling out selected candidate - and use Wapo call-up the tip that will corrobate.
why did she message WAPO and not local paper? Wouldn't it be nice to see what other tips came in about the shortlist to WAPO? Why didn't she give Cavanaugh's name to receptionist when she made the report? She read she had urgency to inform the Senate and President out of concern but did not actually name him until the letter?
