Having foreigners working for me in a handyman business isn't the image I want to project.
I prefer to give estimates when I do work anymore. That way I don't have people looking over my shoulder wondering how long they'll have to pay me at $25 an hour. Did an electrical job recently bid her $400 and charged her $400. If I was doing it by the hour it would have been somewhere around that but I didn't care as I bid it and I wasn't doing much else so it took me longer than it would have otherwise.
