Yep. And in "normal" times, that's all they would have needed. The old GOP, scared of its shadow, would have raced to "get on the right side of this," support for Kavanaugh would have collapsed, he would have withdrawn, and Schumer would march up to the GOP president and explain just (((who))) would be an acceptable "compromise." It was never supposed to go this far.

 

Times have changed.

One of the core fallacies of Marxism is that real differences in merit don't exist. Corollaries to this objectively false belief are that there are no legitimate forms of power and status; power hierarchies are fundamentally unjust; and any exercise of power is a form of violence.

 

Ironically, their response to this is to attempt to monopolize all forms of power for themselves, so that the rest of us can be lorded over by their just beneficence.
