You misunderstood my remark, I think. Flake's position has to do with the full floor vote. Kavenaugh is out of committee.

By advancing the nomination, I was referring to the inevitable cloture vote, which takes place Monday. Flake will vote NO on that unless he is happy with FBI report/activity on the subject.

There is no meaningful deadline. The absolute deadline is Senate adjourn sine die, which will happen in December.

The political deadline is mid-term elections, just in case the Senate majority flips to DEMs.

The only thing that can happen tomorrow is filing the cloture motion. That takes 6 Senators, no vote. Then at least a day laying over before voting on the cloture motion, but could be months, all at Maj leader discretion.

I don't think the cloture motion is filed, so the final senate floor vote, the vote to confirm, that won't happen tomorrow.

And unless there is unanimous consent to circumvent the rules, the cloture motion has to age a bit before the vote is taken on it.
