That “bearded man carrying a triangle” looks like it’s actually a sailor Jerry style pinup with some roses. Butterflies are common tattoo iconography too. Common walk-in stuff. Impossible to understand the meaning of super common tattoo images without knowing the personal pieces that went into that impulsive decision.

Uh nah dawg. The art of tattoo likely predates writing as it’s been a part of tribal ceremonies for thousands of years. Tattooing is likely older than the idea of Satan. Yes it is pain ritual, but you’re inscribing a powerful piece of iconography one the skin. It’s up to the wearer to decide whether they get righteous imagery like a strong tiger victorious in battle over a snake, or to get a hatchet man.
