I think the plane of interest is CARRYING the photographer.
It sounds like some planefags determined where those other planes were going but what about the one ahead of them?
I doubt it was sabotage but the engineers probably expected an imminent failure. The execs would have been notified but their stock sales would be scrutinized by the SEC.
Politicians are not bound by the same insider trading laws, which is partly why some get so wealthy. He was probably one of many whom they tipped off.
This is a bit of a stretch but it looks like the angle of that photo is BELOW the windows on the other airplanes, which suggests the photographer was riding on a plane smaller than those.
I'm not sure if a G550 is the right height for that angle, though.
