Problem with seizing guns is feds (and local) don't know who owns a gun. Some states require gun registration (NYS, CA, etc), others require owner registration (Illinois is one). If it's an NFA item then yeah they'll know. Or if you have an FFL or CCL, they'll know. I have both but not terribly worried.
