from Anon's sauce:
Leland Keyser stood to be the perfect witness for Christine Blasey Ford by confirming critical events that would bolster her charges against Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh.
But she wasn’t.
She has ended up helping the nominee on two crucial questions as the confirmation process shifts from emotion-filled hearings on Thursday to a one-week FBI investigation.
Ms. Keyser was among Ms. Ford’s best friends at Holton-Arms, the all-girl private school in Bethesda not far from Mr. Kavanaugh’s boy-only Georgetown Preparatory.
As best friends to this day, it was expected that Ms. Keyser would confirm Ms. Ford assertions: Ms. Keyser was with her on the night sometime in 1982 that Mr. Kavanaugh sexually assaulted her in an upstairs bedroom in a home in Chevy Chase or Bethesda during a lightly attended party. She also said Ms. Keyser socialized with the other attendees, meaning Mr. Kavanaugh.
Before this week’s Ford-Kavanaugh hearing, Ms. Keyser sent an email to the Senate Judiciary Committee, via her attorney Howard J. Walsh III, denying this. She has no recollection of such a party, she said.
-
“However, the simple and unchangeable truth is that she is unable to corroborate it because she has no recollection of the incident in question,” Mr. Walsh said.

America 2018:
A man who groped a girl in high school,
A man who lied about being a Vietnam War veteran,
A woman who slept with a man 30 years her elder to build her political career,
And the woman who had a Chinese spy on her payroll for 20 years ,
JUDGE AN INNOCENT MAN.

Flake plans to support Kavanaugh after FBI investigates ‘unless they turn up something’
BY TAL AXELROD - 09/29/18 12:10 PM EDT
Sen. Jeff Flake (R-Ariz.) says he plans to support Brett Kavanaugh's nomination unless the FBI investigation into sexual assault allegations against the Supreme Court nominee reveals wrongdoing.
“I’m a conservative. He’s a conservative. I plan to support him unless they turn up something—and they might,” Flake told The Atlantic for an article published Saturday.
The latest twist in Kavanaugh's tumultuous nomination came Friday when Flake forced the Senate to delay his nomination to allow the FBI to investigate claims of sexual misconduct going back to Kavanaugh's high school days.
Flake also revealed that former President George W. Bush, whom Kavanaugh served under in the White House, had called him and other GOP senators to lobby their support.
"He obviously worked closely with Brett so he’s a big fan. And he’s called me and a number of my colleagues," Flake said, adding that he's spoken with the former president "a few times in the past few weeks."

ACLU breaks its own policy, comes out against Kavanaugh nomination
BY MORGAN GSTALTER - 09/29/18 12:22 PM EDT
The American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) announced Saturday that it has decided to break with its own policy and come out in opposition to Brett Kavanaugh’s nomination to the Supreme Court in light of the sexual assault allegations being levied against him.
The ACLU announced in a statement that the testimony on Thursday of Christine Blasey Ford, the first woman to accuse him of sexual assault, before the Senate Judiciary Committee has led to an “exception” in policy.
“As a matter of organizational policy, the ACLU does not support or oppose candidates for political or judicial office,” the statement said. “In this instance, the national board held an extraordinary meeting, and has chosen to make an exception to that policy.”
ACLU president Susan Herman said in the statement that the board of directors was “deeply concerned” by the allegations presented against Kavanaugh from Ford and two other women, Deborah Ramirez and Julie Swetnick.

This shall not stand…
wisdom:
Did you know that it was Flake's vote that moved Kavanaugh out of the Judiciary Committee and onto the full Senate for a vote?
It will also likely be Flake's vote that will seal his confirmation next week.
I'm no fan of Flake but fake/clickbait news is running rampant.

AT&T currently boasts 19,500 “points of presence” in 149 countries where internet traffic is exchanged. But only eight of the company’s facilities in the U.S. offer direct access to its “common backbone” – key data routes that carry vast amounts of emails, internet chats, social media updates, and internet browsing sessions. These eight locations are among the most important in AT&T’s global network. They are also highly valued by the NSA, documents indicate.

Bill Maher on the attack, memes out:
HBO’s Bill Maher lashed out at Sen. Lindsey Graham on Friday for his defense of Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh, saying the South Carolina Republican was missing “the stabilizing influence of his dead boyfriend,” meaning the late Sen. John McCain.
Maher, host of “Real Time with Bill Maher,” took shots at Graham multiple times – for example, saying in his opening monologue that the senator was “familiar” with the “back door.”
“The fact that Trump can either find people like him or make him … Lindsey Graham needs the stabilizing influence of his dead boyfriend,” Maher said later, in reference to McCain, who died Aug. 25 at age 81.
Maher also accused Kavanaugh of “acting” during the hearing, with one of his guests, CNN commentator April Ryan, saying Kavanaugh spoke only to please President Trump.
“He was rehearsed. He talked about the press, he talked about the Clintons,” Ryan said. “He was too rehearsed. He was so bombastic.”
Maher went on to claim that Kavanaugh lied that his 10-year-old daughter prayed for his accuser.
“That’s what actors do!” Maher said when talking about Kavanaugh barely holding back the tears during his opening statement to the committee. “They make s— up!”

5 Signs You’re In The Midst Of A Moral Panic
Today, we hear “believe all women” or “believe the victims.” Politicians such as former Vice President Joe Biden and former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton repeat this phrase. Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand (D-NY) uses some form of this phrase a lot, even when no evidence exists.
What politicians and celebrities who use this phrase are actually saying is to believe every accusation.
In today’s sexual assault panic, the dismissal of exculpatory evidence runs rampant.
Yet still, we’re told that accusations must be believed and that no one would lie about this sort of thing. Many people may not be lying, but simply misremembering something and believing that incorrect memory.
