the early elementary years are the years of memorization, and boy can they. They memorize everything, in math, science, Latin, Classical Music, classical artists, a 15 minute timeline song, etc. Kids this age are memory machines, DON'T WASTE THOSE YEARS. And they love it. And of course the 3 R's.
The middle years are for understanding all the facts and concepts to do with what they memorized.
And the high school years are learning how to communicate and debate using reason and logic in a winsome and respectful manner.
This is how the founding Fathers of the Nation were educated.
