I think Flake set them up. I think Flake promised them a no vote which is why Grassley had Flake go last. The plan was that Flake would vote no and the Kavanaugh nomination would die in committee. FULL CONTROL. Flake double crossed them at the last minute. They never really wanted an FBI investigation.
