We can fix the internet so that it instantiate the right afforded us by the US constitution into the protocols of the network in such a way that they can never be abridged or removed.
TBL proposal doesn't even mention this, or reference what happens when you pump our minds full of information designed to induce trance or prompt voluntary suicidal behavior, as is currently the case.
Think it's unlikely that solutions developed by the people trying to kill us at this moment will work.

Been working with some scientist on a real plan for three years. Some software tested (needs much more) but it will work.
Problem is so few understand the problem as one of identity. Basically we need the same (or better) standards or identity as obtain in "real world" interactions. A single permanent lifetime identity is as necessary in digital space as in the real world. It is the basis of all trust and allow us to conduct commerce, for communities develop evolving consensus reality. Elective anonymity is also essential and we can do that by splitting credentials.
IE we're talking anonymously but on our propose new network we'd be able to introduce evidence of partial ID - professional qualifications, academic degrees and we would know the credential are real without knowing (or needing to know) more ID details.
