i have been sued.

i have had patent applications vanish.

i have had attorneys bought off by larger firms.

my conclusion was then, and is now, that justice is a foreign concept to this country at a practical level.

for these and other reasons, i am comfortable with a few years of chaos if it performs a full reboot.

i just left the system as much as is possible.

i do it small and on my own and for my own.

i stay within proven honest work circles.

i make far less money but am far happier.

people trust me and that makes sticking to this path worth it.

the question will be:

what will I do when they come for me?

your best answer lies within the 2nd amendment.

government always relies on fear to maintain power - that is the essence of governing the many with a very few.

it's even simpler anon.

if your goal is not the typical one of growing it to sell it at a profit - then you moved your goalpost back where you are in control.

what people want in business is honesty - which is in very short supply everywhere you look.

even the BBB is comped, just like the CoC in every city. Angies List, all the rest? they are pay to play outfits.

build your clientele by word of mouth.

be honest even if it means you send people elsewhere.

bid the work at a rate YOU would be willing to pay, not what big companies bid.

it is all about reputation for honesty, doing good work and taking care of clients/customers needs above your own.

reap what you sow, applied to work.

but that only works if your intent is to have an ongoing long term business.

if you are of the MBA ilk, you are taught to get in, borrow and throw money at it to grow it, and then sell it off.

in a few years, the company has no founding employees, is an empty shell and worthless.

i fixed that by NOT trying to grow my company into anything large.

when you go LARGE, then you get visible.

there is plenty of money to be made on the margins of the big players, IF you are not trying to own the entire world.

i got sued by a huge one a few years back.

had not even bought office furniture or computers.

just signed lease on building.

had multi-million dollar backers from off the beaten path.

was sued for theft of intellectual property before we had even designed the product.

the named defendants were not even employees or part of the company - we were tossed into the suit to burn up our capital before we even got started.

court venue in suit was well known plaintiffs judge and plaintiff firm had just donated $50k to his re-election fund.

it isn't complex - you just have to dial back your expectations so you don't become a juicy target.

i have numerous t-shirts from several of these experiences.

which is why I am essentially family business and intend to stay small

if they don't do that, then those in cahoots with government will attempt to shut you down.

i just did my thing with this initial business and it grew itself.

no more bigness than I have already.

so now I am plowing into something few want to go into, which is growing food.

I hope you figure a way to stay off the radar.

i had to severely modify my dreams and throw out all i had been taught to have any success.

much luck your way anon.

we are just getting first aquaponics setup in first greenhouse now.

shrimp and herb growing.

just bought 2 PowerMac G4's to monitor water and the sensors are killing my budget.

did it before, but on smaller scale, back in the 1980's.

want to get it right, have the booklets written, raspberry pi the whole thing and then we will see what happens.

kek!

i was deep into Gordon Gecko mode when i first tried.

3 failures, all due to partner greed.

last one as outlined earlier.

wasn't encumbered by my education, but by my expectations.
