Praying as I type and will throughout the day until she reaches her rightful place in God’s glory and majesty. The most beautiful part of this is that you are there with her, surrounding her with love.
My great aunt, whom I was very close with, passed in April at 97 years old. I got to see her a few hours before she passed. I have never been a very religious person, but there was no denying the moment angels came down to greet her. She woke up from her sleep with a look of peaceful amazement looking above her and reaching up towards what she was seeing. It was after that moment we shared a knowing look. She knew I saw her witness what she did and knew I knew what it was. She gave me a smile and a nod and I did the same. We held hands for another hour, praying over her. We got a call the next morning that she had passed shortly after we left and it was very peaceful.
Stay strong, Anon. I pray you look back on this day with the warmest of memories as do I with my aunt.
Sending you much love and a hug
