RED CROSS REQUEST TO DIG
Where is the Red Cross? Anons, let's look for them and see where they're at. I've already found an article.
American Red Cross mobilizing ahead of Hurricane Rosa
TUCSON, Ariz. - The American Red Cross is finalizing staffing plans and resources to areas of the state that are expected to receive large amounts of rain. Starting tomorrow evening, the remnants of Hurricane Rosa could have a lot of activity headed our way.
"Anybody is welcome to volunteer, we're always looking for volunteers," said Michael Allen, the Disaster Program Manager for the American Red Cross of Southern Arizona.
Flooding is one of the primary issues that is expected to cause some problems.
"I've talked with several of the emergency managers throughout the counties. Emergency generators are being tested, berms are being put up throughout some washes in some of the counties. Some people have cleaned out some washes and whatnot," said Allen.
As the American Red Cross continues to prepare in advance of the large category 4 storm, it is warning the public to be ready for this impact. The organization is also making sure its staff is equipped to help you if necessary.
"We've done a mass recall for all the members of this chapter to prepare if they need to be deployed to whatever part of our region in our territory that can help – for sheltering or whatever else might be needed," said Allen.
