Devin Nunes: Americans are witnessing the 'collapse' of the Senate with Kavanaugh fight

Americans are witnessing the "collapse" of the Senate as lawmakers clash over sexual assault allegations levied against Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh, according to Rep. Devin Nunes, R-Calif.

"What you are seeing is the collapse of institutions in this country. It's really, really concerning," Nunes said Saturday evening on Fox News. "When you take a Supreme Court justice and you have senators talking about high school yearbooks, you are watching the collapse of the Senate. Collapse of the republic. It's really, really dangerous."

Nunes was commenting on a clip of President Trump mocking Sen. Dianne Feinstein, D-Calif., for saying this week that her staff wasn't responsible for leaking a letter that accused Kavanaugh of sexual assault.

A 19-year-old Ethiopian who threatened to set fire to his asylum seeker’s foster home, out of frustation over not having received a payment of 250 euros was arrested.

Two days ago, in the province of Catania, in Raddusa, the migrant, who violated the rules of the structure by exceeding the limit of the days for which he was authorised to stay, was notified that he had to move away.

New Poll Shows Missouri Voters Rejecting Sen. McCaskill For Opposing Kavanaugh

A new poll finds that Democratic Sen. Claire McCaskill has fallen behind her Republican opponent due to her opposition to Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh.

A new poll by Remington Research Group found that of the 1,555 likely Missouri voters surveyed late last week, 48 percent said they were planning to vote for Republican candidate Josh Hawley while 46 percent said they planned to vote for McCaskill.

Hundreds of migrant children moved to Texas tent camp

Hundreds of migrant children detained all across the country are reportedly being sent to a tent camp in Tornillo, Texas, along the U.S.-Mexico border.

The minors were moved late at night to deter them from attempting escapes, according to anonymous shelter workers who spoke with the New York Times. In at least one instance, the children were given only hours of advance notice of the move.

The anonymous same shelter workers said the moves would open up shelters for children still waiting at the border.

Dutch Raids Neutralized Extremists' Threat, Authorities Say

THE HAGUE, Netherlands (AP) - Police who arrested seven men suspected of plotting a major extremist attack somewhere in the Netherlands found large quantities of raw materials for explosives at their homes, prosecutors said Friday.

Following Thursday's arrests, police said they had found five handguns, but on Friday prosecutors said that searches of the men's homes also uncovered "large amounts of raw materials for explosives for bomb vests and 100 kilograms (220 pounds) of fertilizer, possibly for use in a car bomb."

Earlier, prosecutors had said that the men, who had been the subjects of a multi-agency investigation since April, were attempting to obtain AK-47 assault rifles, handguns, bomb vests, grenades and raw materials for bombs and were looking for opportunities to train with such weapons.
