Q… Please reassure me. Life is so hard right now. What is this administration going to do about healthcare? I live in CA. I have a chronic illness called Ehlers Danlos Syndrome. My husband makes too much $ to qualify for help from MediCal but not enough for us to afford the $1000 a month it will cost to get health insurance for my toddler and myself. I can’t afford medical intervention for my illness and it’s degenerative. I worry about my family’s future if I end up needing a wheelchair to get around. My husband is working really hard to support us, but in our state it’s almost impossible to save money.

The crime is also so bad here. I can’t take my little one to the park alone because of the drug-addicted transients that set up camps all over our city. It feels so hopeless.

I trust God and I pray for His intervention in our country (and my state) every day. Please reassure me that you’re seeing the Commander of Heaven’s Armies moving behind the scenes… please.

Thank you so much. You just brought tears to my eyes. It’s been so rough. I just really appreciate your prayers. We’re moving into my mother-in-law’s house in a month in the middle of nowhere so we can save money. I’ve just been so stressed and sad. I am putting all my trust and hope in our Lord. In my uncertainty He is my rock. Our lives are in the palm of His almighty right hand. Thank you again, so so much. God bless you!

Unfortunately the condition is due to malfunctioning genes, so the problem is not a lack of collagen production but improper coding as to how it’s “stacked” when forming connective tissue. At least that’s how I understand it. Basically nothing short of gene editing is going to be able to correct it. It can be mitigated to some extend with experimental procedures like prolotherapy, but unfortunately it is currently incurable.
