I was thinking maybe our Flag
I was raised by a Marine. I had to go out every morning and night and raise and lower the Flag with my dad. He taught me a great respect for it. He said he'd beat my ass if I let it touch the ground. Whew. It'd trigger me, very upsetting. Many died under that Flag and I respect them and love them for their service.
