I wonder if the Dems sacrificed a few pawns in the Kavanaugh hearing, and their long-game approach was to put forward ridiculously false allegations and play it up, so when President Trump drops some bombs on pedophilia, etc… The American psyche is pre-set to initially disbelieve accusations.
