Indeed. The US does not have to follow UN's orders. And since the UN became a joke long ago (which has just been proven again after UN actually is pro-iran), Trump should make a big announcement to UN of literally fucking themselves we not gonna change anything. Either Iran plays along, or they will be dealt with.
