funeralfag here, would like to add some observations to the ongoing search for Blasey-Ford’s grandmother.

I have been involved in tracking down family for the purpose of final disposition for years. I have never encountered such a situation as it applies to Christine’s mother (Paula).

It is my belief that Paula’s history has been wiped from the internet. It is almost as if her life before marrying Ralph Blasey Sr. didn’t even exist. Her maiden name is unknown, and impossible to find, without speculation.

I have searched genealogy records, death indexes, obituary databases, funeral home databases, newspapers, etc. Nothing of any significance has come to light.

Some have speculated that a woman who was buried at Fort Lincoln on the week that Blasey-Ford had her polygraph might have been her grandmother. This is highly unlikely. It is uncommon (not impossible though) for paternal grandparents and maternal grandparents to be buried in the same cemetery especially considering the displacement of each family across the united states. We know that both of Ralph’s parents have been deceased for some time.

Paula K. Blasey or Paula Kay Blasely was supposedly born on Sept. 25 1938 which would have made her subject to the 1940 Census. Upon searching the 1940s census for 1-3-year olds named Paula K or Paula Kay and then searching for the death records of mentioned parents, I found nothing of significance there as I could successfully locate a living relative that has no connection to the Blasey family, Paula specifically.

There is also no wedding announcement that I could locate for the Ralph/Paula nuptials, which is odd considering the clout.

I did find a “Paula Kay Warner” in a 1956 senior yearbook in Westerly Rhode Island, but could not find anything else to corroborate.

Currently, Ralph and Paula are 83 and 80 years old respectively. Paula’s mother would have to be in her 90s.

What is the significance of wiping Paula’s maiden name and/or her parents’ history?

What connections does Paula have?
