The way I see it, if you want America to be great
Then the infrastructure has to be great
First it has to work,
Then it has to be kept in good repair
It has to handle maximum loads.
Doesn't matter whether it is a bridge
Or a nationwide mobile phone network
Or a railway system
Or an airplane.
Seems to me America still has a ways to go
Before it is great again.
Hopefully this time
Americans will notice all the activity
Building repairing maintaining and testing that infrastructure
And appreciate the people doing it.
