BREAKING: @stripe has frozen http://Gab.com 's account and given us until Oct 19th to remove any and all legal adult content from the site (which they know is impossible.) We've had this content and a NSFW setting for two years with no issues from them until now.

Many reasons that weren't there when they started but that are self evident now. They might not have realized at the time that it was. I didn't till this year.
payment processor, which one don't know but cheap processors aren't available on every street corners.
