Lieberman: Israel Forces To Continue Operations In Syria Despite S-300 Delivery

“I cannot say that we are happy about the presence of S-300 [in Syria], but at the same time this is a situation where we have no way out, where we have no opportunity to make decisions … In any case, we are not looking for adventures. We merely protect our vital interests. Regrettably, we are in a situation where we cannot afford any compromises concerning our security interests,” the Russian news agency TASS quoted Lieberman as saying during an interview with the public broadcaster Kan. “I think the most important thing for us today is…to return the working relationship to normal. It is today the most important task — to return to normal operation, coordination, to more actively use the ‘hot line’ to prevent conflict situations. We need to work,” Lieberman said.

Mitch McConnell: ‘We’re Not Going to Be Intimidated’ by Protesters Camping Outside Senators’ Homes

Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) issued a stern message to protesters opposed to Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh in a fiery Senate floor speech Wednesday: Your intimidation tactics will not stop the full Senate from voting on the judge’s confirmation.

“Colleagues, including my friend, the Democratic leader, have tried to get Judge Kavanaugh to withdraw from this process because of these uncorroborated and sometimes absolutely ridiculous allegations,” McConnell began. “When that did work, then the far-left tried to bully and intimidate members of this body, Republican United States senators. They’ve tried to bully and intimidate us.”

Without referencing the senator’s name, the Senate Majority Leader lamented how organized far-left protesters recently drove Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) and his wife Heidi out of a Washington, D.C.-area eatery, Fiola, over the lawmaker’s support for Kavanaugh.

“One of our colleagues and his family were effectively run out of a restaurant in recent days by these people. And other reported that protesters physically blocked his car door,” McConnell said. “Some have seen other organized far-left protesters camp out at there homes.”

He continued: “I’m not suggesting we’re the victims here, but I want to make it clear to these people who are chasing my members around the hall here or harassing them at the airports or going to their homes we’re not going to be intimidated by these people. There is no chance in the world they’re going to scare us out of doing our duty. I don’t care how many members they chase, how many people they harass here in the halls, we will not be intimated by these people, how many people they harass here in the halls.

“I want to make one thing perfectly clear. We will not be intimated by these people.”

As the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) winds down its probe into decades-old allegations of sexual misconduct leveled against Kavanaugh, Republican leadership is said to be planning on bringing the Supreme Court nominee’s confirmation to the full Senate to vote next week. As Breitbart News reported, Sens. Lisa Murkowski (R-AK), Jeff Flake (R-AZ), and Susan Collins (R-ME), three Republican key swing votes, have yet to decide if they will support his confirmation.

Ellison: ‘No Similarities’ Between Allegations Against Me and Allegations Against Kavanaugh

On Wednesday’s “WCCO Morning News with David Lee,” Representative, DNC Deputy Chair, and Minnesota Attorney General candidate Keith Ellison (D-MN) stated that “there are no similarities” between the accusations against him and the accusations against Supreme Court nominee Judge Brett Kavanaugh and every case should “be evaluated on its own facts.”

Ellison said he called for a House Ethics Committee investigation “Because I want to be transparent. I want to — I have — I want to be cooperative. I mean, I didn’t do these things that my ex-girlfriend accused me of.”

He added that an independent investigation paid for by the DFL found the allegations “unsubstantiated.”

Later, Lee asked Ellison if he sees “similarities between you and Judge Kavanaugh’s hearings?”

Ellison responded, “Absolutely not. There’s — there are no similarities. Every case is separate, different. Every case has its own facts. Every case needs to be evaluated on its own facts. And, you know, for people to try to mix this situation and that one are — they’re just making a mistake, because — or they’re — or they have political motives in doing so.”

US Allocates $38 billion Military Aid Package To Israel To Boost Its “Security”

The University of Libtardia becomes reality as Mass. college offers actual degree in “social justice”

Have you ever wanted to spend over $55,000 to learn all about how racist and unequal American society is, only to realize in the end that you just wasted four years of your life? Well then you may want to consider enrolling at Merrimack College in Massachusetts, where you can get a degree in – you guessed it – social justice.

“Our social justice program offers majors the chance to turn their passion for change, human rights and a more just world into a career,” reads a description of the major. “As a social justice major, you will receive the knowledge to prepare for advocacy and human-rights work within local community organizations and national and international non-governmental organizations like the United Nations. You will develop a strong theoretical understanding of ideas of social justice and participate in real-world learning in the field.”

In case you’re still not convinced that a social justice major at Merrimack College is for you, then perhaps the school’s website can convince you otherwise. In addition to providing students with a “flexible program” and “hands-on learning,” the website also mentions that social justice majors will get to experience “Annual Social Justice week” so that they can “get involved in on-campus initiatives to address inequality.” (Related: Google has abandoned tech innovation to address social justice issues.)

If you’re wondering what Social Justice Week is, just know that it’s something that Merrimack started back in the year 2013 to expose students to social justice issues. Events include various speakers, workshops, “student artwork, photography and poster sessions throughout campus to provoke questions and conversations.”

In all seriousness, why anyone would want to major in social justice is truly beyond comprehension. It’s like majoring in gender studies or feminist theory – it may make students feel as though they are “standing for something” or “bringing about change,” but at the end of the day, there’s just no money to be made in it. Students will be spending over $55,000 for the degree and then get absolutely nothing out of it.

There are literally hundreds of examples of colleges and universities across the country creating majors and providing certain incentives in order to create a new generation of leftists and social justice warriors. At Texas Tech University in Lubbock, Texas, the student housing department recently started a “social justice advocate” program which, according to the official job description, will advance the principles of diversity, multiculturalism, social identity development, and of course, social justice. (Related: Sorry, social justice warriors: political correctness has reached its peak.)

The university has stated that social justice advocates will earn a starting pay of $8.00 per hour, which translates to $148 per week at 18.5 scheduled work hours. Social justice advocates can also request up to 20 hours per week and earn a total of $160 per week. One has to wonder, though, if their earnings will be redistributed to the other students on campus – you know, in the name of equality and such.

It really is a shame that so many students are being persuaded into dedicating their time and money into something as silly as social justice activism. It’s even more of a shame that these types of left-wing subjects are starting to be taught just as much – and in some cases, more – than traditional subjects like American literature and U.S. history. The goal of American’s public education system should be to prepare students for the future and make it so that they have the highest chances of success possible; the goal of the education system should not be to create a generation of political activists and social justice warriors.

Ellison: I’m Considering Resigning From the DNC

Democratic National Committee deputy chair Keith Ellison said Wednesday he is considering resigning from the DNC in order to concentrate fully on his run for Minnesota attorney general.

Ellison announced in June he would forgo running for a seventh term in Congress to seek the attorney general position. Last year, Ellison was pushed by the party’s far-left flank for the DNC chairmanship but was defeated by Tom Perez, the preferred pick of former President Barack Obama.

“You know, I’ve been evaluating that recently, so we’ll see,” Ellison told WCCO radio of stepping down from the DNC. “I need to put 100 percent of my time, energy and resources into the race and my office, so it is something I am considering.”

Why Are the Brennan, Comey, and Rogers Transcripts Being Withheld?

Is Inspector General Horowitz's ongoing FISA investigation a factor in withholding testimonies of top Obama officials

The House Intelligence Committee voted on Friday, Sept. 28, to release a number of transcripts taken from interviews during their investigation into election interference from Russia. The move by the committee had been previously disclosed in a Sept. 16 interview with Devin Nunes on Sunday Morning Futures with Maria Bartiromo.

A significant number of man-hours and effort went into the preparation of the committee’s report—including the review of 7,292 pages of testimony.

As part of their investigation, the House committee noted that they interviewed 73 individuals, resulting in 55 transcribed interviews. The report also indicated that seven witnesses had invoked their Fifth Amendment protections against self-incrimination.

At this point, no firm date has been set for a release of the transcripts, though the wait is not expected to be lengthy. Transcripts approved for release will now go to Dan Coates at the Office of the Director of National Intelligence for a declassification review.

The full list of interviews to be released, accompanied by the actual date of the interview, can be found here. The first interviews took place in June 2017. Interestingly, the first person to be interviewed was newly installed Director of National Intelligence Dan Coats on June 22, 2017. It’s likely Coats was interviewed first as a matter of housekeeping. Coats would work closely with Adm. Mike Rogers at the NSA until Rogers retired in May. The second person to be interviewed was then-President Barack Obama’s deputy assistant secretary of defense, Evelyn Farkas, on June 26, 2017. There may be a very good reason for this.

On March 2, 2017, Farkas went on MSNBC. During the interview, Farkas detailed how the Obama Administration gathered and disseminated intelligence on the Trump Team:

“I was urging my former colleagues and, frankly speaking, the people on the Hill … ‘Get as much information as you can. Get as much intelligence as you can before President Obama leaves the Administration. …

“The Trump folks, if they found out how we knew what we knew about the Trump staff’s dealing with Russians, that they would try to compromise those sources and methods, meaning we would no longer have access to that intelligence. … That’s why you have the leaking.”

Note that Farkas said “how we knew” not “what we knew.” A crucial distinction.

Hillary Clinton’s campaign manager, John Podesta, was interviewed the following day, on June 27, 2017. He would be interviewed a second time on Dec. 4, 2017.

Other notable names on the interview list:

https://www.theepochtimes.com/why-are-the-brennan-comey-and-rogers-transcripts-being-withheld_2677629.html

As Sessions noted, the IG “has almost 500 employees, most of which are lawyers and prosecutors—and they are looking at the FISA process.”

Inspectors General have no prosecutorial power. But they can refer people for prosecution. Which is precisely why Huber and his team are in place.
