>>3317519 - I've been praying…
This is from "Burns Strider" to "Moore Minyon" and HRC - From her emails. I find it interesting that they are so interested in Rick Warren's "Purpose Driven Preaching" in China and that there are cannibal jokes at the end.
I often attended one of the legal churches when I was in Beijing… If one knew where to look, washed over or chiseled away
"Methodist mission" signs could be seen… The location I attended had actually been the Methodist Mission prior to Mao… It
was the primary legal church so it may have been the one you attended! Sadly, I didn't encounter any purpose-driven
preaching!!??
In honor of the bosslady's historic week…
"Sikh jo fahn mai-a"
– Cantonese for "have you had your rice yet?" This is the standard mid-day greeting for Cantonese speakers… It can simply
be a warm hello or an invitation to lunch. It showcases the incredible impact of rice on the culture, even in standard
greetings…
Okay, the not so sobering joke of the day:
"There were two cannibals who unsuspectingly captured a comedian and made him into a stew. While the cannibals were
eating the stew, one asked the other, "Does this taste funny to you?" —- hahahaha. Have a good day!
