Dianne Feinstein Suggests FBI Probe of Brett Kavanaugh Not Credible

The FBI wrapped up its supplemental probe into the allegations against Brett Kavanaugh and Feinstein is already complaining about the investigation.

Ranking member of the Senate Judiciary Committee Dianne Feinstein (D-CA) suggested Wednesday afternoon that the FBI probe into Kavanaugh is not credible.

Feinstein was referring to a new report out by Bloomberg claiming the FBI hasn’t interviewed Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh or Christine Blasey Ford because it doesn’t have clear authority from the White House to do so, according to two people with knowledge of the matter.

Rather, the White House indicated last week’s sworn testimony from both Christine Ford and Brett Kavanaugh would be sufficient therefore an interview is not needed.

Feinstein, the one who started this whole circus by holding onto Ford’s letter for several weeks only to have it leaked at the 11th hour is now complaining about the FBI probe.

FOX News’ Chad Pergram reported: Feinstein: WH confirmation that it will not allow the FBI to interview..Ford.. Kavanaugh or witnesses identified by..Ramirez raises serious concerns that this is not a credible investigation and begs the question: What other restrictions has the White House placed on the FBI?

Feinstein then attacked Kavanaugh’s passionate testimony where he defended himself against smears last Thursday. The Democrat Senator also said Kavanaugh made ‘misleading statements’ during his testimony.

Feinstein, the same Democrat fraud who kept Ford’s letter from her counterpart, Chuck Grassley had the nerve to accuse the White House of hiding information from the Senate.

Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell predicted the Democrats would say the FBI probe isn’t credible during remarks he delivered from the Senate floor.

McConnell knows the Democrats will continue to stall Kavanaugh’s confirmation vote; he vowed to hold the vote this week.

CNN IDs Ford’s Ex, Runs Denial in First Mention of His Explosive Letter

CNN, in its first-ever mention of the sworn letter potentially discrediting Brett Kavanaugh accuser Christine Blasey Ford, identifies the redacted author by name and offers a denial of the letter’s allegations from Ford’s long-time friend.

On Tuesday, Fox News first obtained a sworn statement to the Senate Judiciary Committee from a man who claimed to know Ford for roughly eight years in the 1990s, six of them as her romantic partner.

CNN, like several other left-leaning news outlets, posted no reporting about the potentially narrative-shifting letter on Tuesday. The network’s very first mention of the letter came in a piece by Geneva Sands and Josh Campbell Wednesday afternoon leading with a Ford friend and ally’s denial of the letter’s contents. Further down, CNN identifies the ex-boyfriend, whose identity had been kept redacted by Judiciary Committee staff, by name and attacks his credibility.

The letter, attested to under penalty of felony, calls into question key aspects of Ford’s narrative, including her supposed fear of flying, claustrophobia, and need to have multiple exits to the homes in which she lives. The letter claims that, in six years of dating, Ford never suffered from any of these things, nor did she ever mention Brett Kavanaugh or having been sexually assaulted.

Potentially the most consequential assertion contained in the ex-boyfriend’s letter, however, was that Ford had coached a close friend, Monica McLean, on how to take polygraph tests for her government security clearance investigation, using her training in psychology. McLean eventually became an FBI agent, and is now retired from that position.

The Republican majority’s Senate Judiciary Committee outside counsel during Ford’s testimony, Arizona sex crimes prosecutor Rachel Mitchell, asked Ford a series of strikingly specific questions about her history with polygraphs, including whether she had ever “given tips or advice to somebody looking to take a polygraph test.” Ford responded with a denial for each of these questions.

If the allegations in the letter are true, Ford may have perjured herself during the hearing set up on her behalf to let her air allegations that a 17-year-old Kavanaugh had forced himself on her and groped her over her clothes at a high school party somewhere around the summer of 1982.

McLean, the ex-FBI agent Ford is alleged to have coached for her polygraph, “is furious that her reputation is now being called into question by a ‘lie’ that has thrust her into the national spotlight,” according to CNN.

“I have never had anyone assist me with the preparation of any polygraph. Ever. Not my entry polygraph, not my 5-year reinvestigation polygraphs. Never. I am extremely angry he would make this up,” CNN quotes McLean.

Neither CNN nor McLean, whom Ford’s ex describes as Ford’s “life-long best friend,” dispute that the letter’s author dated Ford for the period he claims. CNN relies on the letter’s own claims that their relationship ended with Ford’s infidelity and commission of credit card fraud to say the author “made clear their relationship did not end amicably.”

CDC: More Than a Third of American Adults Eat Fast Food Daily

It might be time to lay off the cheeseburgers. A new report published by the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) this week reveals that more than a third of American adults admitted to eating fast food on any given day between 2013 and 2016.

The data reveals that every day of the year, 36.5 percent of American adults consume fast food. That works out to nearly 85 million Americans eating fast food daily. However, the CDC didn't specify whether that figure has increased or decreased since 2016.

"Fast food is a part of the American diet and has been associated with high caloric intake and poor diet quality," the CDC noted in its statement, also adding that time scarcity, financial resources, price and availability may all be factors affecting rates of fast food consumption versus consumption of healthier foods like fruits and vegetables. Excessive consumption of fast food has been associated with obesity, heart disease and diabetes.

However, who is eating all this fast food may surprise you. The report reveals that nearly 45 percent of Americans between the ages of 20 and 39 eat fast food daily, while only 24.1 percent of those 60 years old and above exhibit the same eating habits. In addition, surprisingly, the CDC found that people with higher incomes are more likely to eat fast food, although poor diets are typically associated with poverty.

The study also found that men tend to eat fast food for lunch, while women are more likely to eat fast food as a snack. In addition, the CDC found that African Americans are most likely to eat fast food, followed by Caucasians and Hispanics. Asian Americans were the least likely to eat fast food.

REVEALED: The Man Accusing Blasey Ford Of Lying About Polygraphs

The Daily Caller News Foundation has identified Brian Merrick as the author of a letter alleging that Dr. Christine Blasey Ford gave inaccurate testimony about her experience with polygraphs to the Senate Judiciary Committee.

Merrick and Blasey Ford dated throughout the 1990s and lived together for some time, but their relationship ended by the early 2000s.

A witness Merrick identified has denied the allegation he raised.

The Daily Caller News Foundation has identified Brian Merrick as the author of a letter alleging that Dr. Christine Blasey Ford did not provide accurate testimony to the Senate Judiciary Committee about her experience with polygraph tests.

Though a witness Merrick names has denied his accusation, Senate Republicans have requested additional information from Blasey Ford in view of the letter. Blasey Ford has accused Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh of sexually assaulting her in the early 1980s while the two were teenagers.

Merrick met Blasey Ford in either 1989 or 1990, and the pair dated from 1992 to 1998, according to a letter he submitted to the Judiciary Committee. The letter also indicates that they lived together for a portion of their relationship. The couple met when they were students at Pepperdine University in California.

TheDCNF has independently confirmed that Merrick and Blasey Ford were associated with the same address in southern California while they were dating in the late 1990s. The Wall Street Journal identified Merrick as an ex-boyfriend of Blasey Ford in a pre-hearing article.

Though Merrick wrote that he finds Blasey Ford truthful, he disputed several portions of her testimony before the Senate Judiciary Committee. In particular, Merrick charges that he observed Blasey Ford advising her best friend, Monica McLean, on polygraph tests in advance of job interviews with a federal prosecutor’s office and the FBI, which contradicts Blasey Ford’s testimony to the Judiciary Committee.

Investigative counsel Rachel Mitchell asked Blasey Ford if she has “ever had discussions with anyone besides your attorneys on how to take a polygraph.” Mitchell made it clear she was not referring to countermeasures, but to “tips or anything like that.”

Ford said she had not.

McLean denied the charge in a statement released via Blasey Ford’s lawyers. (RELATED: Kavanaugh Fight Leaves Supreme Court Shorthanded For New Term)

“I have NEVER had Christine Blasey Ford or anybody else, prepare me, or provide any other type of assistance whatsoever in connection with any polygraph exam I have taken at any time,” McLean said.

McLean went to high school with Blasey Ford at the Holton-Arms School in Bethesda, Maryland. She is a signatory on a letter of Holton-Arms alumnae supporting Blasey Ford and attesting to her “honesty, integrity, and intelligence.” She worked for the Department of Justice from 1992 to 2016 and is currently an independent consultant, according to her LinkedIn page.

Merrick wrote that he broke up with Blasey Ford after discovering that she cheated on him.

Elsewhere in the letter, Merrick alleges that Blasey Ford used his credit card against his wishes after their relationship ended and never referred to her alleged encounter with Kavanaugh.

Merrick is currently a high-end real estate broker at Coldwell Banker in the Malibu, California, area, specializing in beachfront and unique properties.

He has received several awards for excellence at Coldwell and is currently designated as one of the top 100 agents of the firm’s 92,000 real estate agents worldwide.

Merrick couldn’t be reached for comment.

Judiciary Committee Chairman Chuck Grassley requested additional information about the polygraph test Blasey Ford took concerning Kavanaugh in a letter sent to her attorneys on Tuesday evening.

“The full details of Dr. Ford’s polygraph examination are particularly important because the Senate Judiciary Committee has received a sworn statement from a longtime boyfriend of Dr. Fords, starting that he personally witnessed Dr. Ford coaching a friend on polygraph examinations,” the letter reads.

Blasey Ford has accused Kavanaugh of holding her down against her will and groping her while attempting further sexual assaults.

During the Kavanaugh hearings, House Republicans voted in a $3.1 trillion tax cut for the rich

Tax Reform 2.0 was rammed through the House at the literal exact same moment that everyone in America was watching Brett Kavanaugh caper and gibber for the US Senate.

It’s a tax gift of $3.1 trillion over ten years, with the major beneficiaries being those with more than $3.9 million in annual income.

The cuts will still have to pass the Senate.

In House debate on the bill, Democrats continued to denounce the existing tax law and new proposal, and repeatedly pounded on their impact on the mounting $21 trillion deficit. The Republicans will seek to fill the hole by cutting deeply into Medicare and Social Security, Democratic lawmakers warned.

“This is all borrowed money that will go to corporations and high-income earners,” said Rep. Richard Neal of Massachusetts, the senior Democrat on the Ways and Means Committee. The new legislation “is another reckless tax cut for the wealthy that leaves behind average, hardworking families.”

It's All Gone: The Democrats' Dead Ideals

As the spurious case against Brett Kavanaugh disintegrates, splinters, and re-forms into a cacophony of whiny, irrelevant expostulations, it is instructive to step back and survey the field upon which this battle took place.

The ground is littered with dead and wounded ideals: civility, dead; basic decency, dead; the presumption of innocence, gravely wounded, ditto for the idea of due process. And this disgusting carnage is all on you, O ancient one, Dianne Feinstein, and your self-important, preposterous colleagues. You were desperate to keep Brett Kavanaugh off the Supreme Court so you abandoned any semblance of decency and respect. You travestied the processes of the United States Senate for the sake of a cynical grab at power. I’d say that you should be ashamed of yourselves, but, like the thugs that you are, you have no shame. You believe the acquisition of power is a magical antidote to shame. You are wrong about that, and one can only hope that you will one day reap some portion of the obloquy you have sowed.

It is not yet clear what the snarling, incontinent attacks on Brett Kavanaugh will mean for him and his family. Early indications are not encouraging.

For many years, Judge Kavanaugh has taught a course at Harvard Law School. A couple of days ago, that Cambridge-based plutocratic bastion of privilege, smugness, and political correctness announced that Judge Kavanaugh was no longer welcome to teach there. Later, a coven of lonely and unappealing Harvard feminists filed a battery of groundless Title IX claims against him.

Hundreds of alumni, students, and faculty of Yale Law School have signed an open letter denouncing the school’s implicit support of Judge Kavanaugh’s nomination to the Supreme Court. Among other things, the signatories of this malodorous missive say that Judge Kavanaugh’s nomination represents “an emergency – for democratic life, for our safety and freedom, for the future of our country. … Without a doubt, Judge Kavanaugh is a threat to the most vulnerable. He is a threat to many of us, despite the privilege bestowed by our education, simply because of who we are.”

What are these people talking about? But it is not insanity that moves them. It is malice and the desire for power.

Judge Kavanaugh mentioned in his testimony that one of his delights was coaching girls basketball. Will he be allowed to do that in the future? It is unclear. A putrid column in USA Today by Erik Brady – silently redacted after a cataract of outrage – said that “he should stay off basketball courts for now when kids are around.”
