I've been saying the above even before I was red pilled in 2003. The Powers that Be could have manufactured cheap goods in Mexico and avoided shipping costs.

But their goal was to simultaneously weaken US and build China into a world economic and military power, all while getting rich sucking US dry.

If Mexico was chosen for manufacturing we wouldn't have the illegal immigration problem either.
